Why can’t academic writing be fun, engaging and less formulaic? Why does everyone read and analyze the same texts (I’m lookinatchu ‘Quicksand’)? Is it really that hard—or that lowbrow—to write sentences that are quick, clear and to the cotdamn point? We’re a bunch of scared losers.
